From Runway to Envelope?

Monday, March 16th, 2009

Skimming through my inbox this morning, I came across Crate and Barrel’s latest email blast advertising these wall prints that echo our latest stationery line.  It got me to thinking about the power of fashion and the far reaches of its influence.  I credit fashion designer Tory Burch for bringing her love of the ’70s aesthetic and graphic prints back into American sportswear…  our living rooms- and envelopes!

The Madonna of Skyscrapers

Wednesday, January 7th, 2009

When New York Magazine published it’s Reasons to Love New York issue, I was so happy to see the Empire State Building was #25 on the list.  I’ve recently become obsessed with photographing it’s ever-changing facade.  It’s like the Madonna of skyscrapers!

After the Rain at Stone Barns

Thursday, June 26th, 2008

Stone Barns in Pocantico Hills, NY, is another one of my favorite spots. There are acres of rolling hills, herds of sheep and cows, local produce for sale and a excellent restaurant (Blue Hill)- all just 30 miles north of Manhattan. I convinced Lucas to drive out with me on Sunday and took some pictures in the garden right after the storm. I love the colors and textures! stone-barns68.jpgstone-barns76.jpgstone-barns79.jpg

The Brooklyn Heights Promenade

Thursday, May 22nd, 2008

Last night, Lucas (my fiancé) and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary. We had dinner at one of our favorite local restaurants (Jack the Horse Tavern) and then strolled the Brooklyn Heights Promenade- the place where he popped the question!

The Promenade has one of the best views of Manhattan, and is my favorite place to go for a walk, or just sit back and watch the sunset.
