Best Friends
Friday, October 24th, 2008Banana Bread for Breakfast
Thursday, October 23rd, 2008This recipe is so easy, and so good! I love that it uses ingredients that I usually have in the house, and it’s the perfect way to use those last two bananas in the bunch that have gotten a little mushy. It makes a great breakfast, house gift or snack throughout the week.
Ingredients:
2 eggs
1/2 cup oil
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 ripe (or over- ripe) bananas, mashed with a fork
1 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 350
Combine eggs, oil, sugar and vanilla. Mix until creamy. Add banana and blend well. Add flour and baking soda. Lightly dust walnuts with flour and fold into batter. Pour into a greased loaf pan.
Bake for One Hour.

Capturing Kids
Friday, October 10th, 2008These pictures say it all. I love when I capture the moment a child’s eyes lighten up, and they are really connecting with their surroundings. The photos below are of Ethan Kaufman and his grandparents, from our shoot in Central Park last week. Mom Sharon said,”These are fantastic. I am so thrilled with your work”. Just what we love to hear!

A Centerpiece Tells a Story
Thursday, October 2nd, 2008This intricate and winding centerpiece of a Rosh Hashana dinner (that probably covered up to 100 feet at the Harmonie Club on Tuesday night) was created by Gale, the woman in pink. She explained it illustrates the story of Abraham and Isaac, as interpreted in the Hebrew Bible. It was quite impressive!
